Eight possible buyers of Toon

Newcastle owner Mike Ashley has today claimed that at least eight companies are in talks with him about a possible sale of the club. Ashley announced to the public that he was intending to sell the team last month after protest by the Newcastle fans were held because of the departure of twice manager Kevin Keegan. Newcastle don't yet have a fixed manager but former Wimbledon manager Joey Kinnear has acceoted the role of interim manager.
